Accounting services

We partner with leading payroll technology providers, Knit, and manage full-cycle payroll for you. This includes employee onboarding and off-boarding, regular payroll payments, direct deposits, and government remittances as well as year-end reporting.

We offer both cash-basis and accrual accounting based on your needs. If you’re unfamiliar with the differences, your OpenDigits accountant can recommend the best option for your business.

We are experts in Xero and Quickbooks Online when it comes to accounting software, and also use Hubdoc for syncing your bank statements to the accounting system, so nothing ever has to be transferred manually, and data is kept 100% accurate.

Usually we do not provide on-site consultations. However, OpenDigits’ accountants are always available for a phone or video call – and if you’re nearby, you can also always visit our Toronto offices (or we can stop by yours).

We encrypt your financial data with 256-bit SSL security, which is the standard used by banks.  For businesses who want an additional layer of protection, we also offer a standard 2-party NDA.

OpenDigits pairs you with a senior accountant to be your dedicated account manager. Working with us means you never have to bounce between multiple accountants or bookkeepers.

OpenDigits will send you fully reconciled books between the 21st and the 28th of the following month.

We are able to file all taxes for Canadian companies. If you are required to pay taxes in the United States, OpenDigits will either work with your existing accountant, or can easily put you in touch with one of our preferred partners.

Yes! OpenDigits will make sure your books are up-to-date and fully reconciled before we start monthly bookkeeping. You can get your books caught up on the basis of one of our existing per-month rates.

Pricing and plans

OpenDigits bills on a yearly basis. If you would like to explore options to bill on a shorter term basis, one of our specialists would be happy to speak with you and help.

Yes! Each customer is paired with a dedicated accountant who is available to answer any questions you may have. There are no extra fees associated with support, so don’t be afraid to reach out at any time.

Yes! We can review your current plan at any time upon request, or go through it at the end of the term. No additional fees are ever incurred with any plan changes.

No, OpenDigits lets you cancel services anytime. If you sign up for our yearly billing and later want to cancel before the year is up, we will refund you for the remaining months.

OpenDigits will help you transition your bookkeeping to your new provider. And since we use popular accounting software like Xero and Quickbooks, your transition will be painless.
